Corrosive materials are considered to be those materials that affect human tissues such as eyes and lungs.  Moreover, these materials should be kept away from clothes and metals.  There are two divisions in this group, because there are permanent and temporary damages as well.  Permanent damage is classified in D2, and temporary effects are grouped in Class D-2.  Corrosive materials include:  sulphuric and nitric acid, caustic soda, potassium, bases such as ammonium hydroxide, chlorine and ammonium.
