Health and safety in the workplace is a high priority for the B.A.S.E. It is the goal of the B.A.S.E. to reduce the number of workplace accidents by creating an environment that is as safe as possible. We believe that making safety an integral part of every job can prevent incidents. To achieve this goal we need your help.

Everyone has general duties and responsibilities where they work. The BASE, the store manager, and every employee have responsibilities that have been detailed in the Occupational Health and Safety Act. The BASE is committed to ensuring compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations by providing a healthy and safe work environment. Workers for their part, have a duty to work safely and in manner which will not cause harm to themselves or their co-workers, and to report all hazards, including contraventions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act to their supervisor.

For workplace safety to be realized, all parties must understand and accept their responsibilities.
